Study Buddy

Problem
Around the World there are Millions of students that lack education because their parents don’t let them study, or because there are no facilities to do so. As a result these kids will have poorer chance to succeed in life and to have a fulfilling career.

Solution
Study Buddy is a tutoring platform where students from developing regions can get help from students that excel in specific subjects. The platform allows not only to share knowledge and materials, but also to build connections and create a more balanced playing field.

My role
This was a concept that I created for the Norwegian Telecommunication company, Telenor’s annual competition held in 22 countries. I created the concept of the app, the user interface and presentations. The concept gained a lot of attention and was featured in many news outlet in Hungary.

Éretségizz (How to pass the SATs)

Problem
In many high schools, including my former high school, teachers have little time to explain the difficult system of the SATs (or college admission tests), how to get extra admission points and what are the different calculating methods the Hungarian Educational Authorities are using.
This tasks is often a pain in the neck for the teachers, and oftentimes they are not able to update their knowledge about this very difficult system.

Solution
I teamed up with a friend of mine right after graduating from high school and we decided to do a presentation by ourselves, telling the most important information to students as well as tips and trick on how to nail the college admission tests.

Results
We have been giving these presentations since 2015 and have helped over  1500 students from my university.
Students reported that the material was interesting and easy to follow, and they enjoyed listening to it.

My role:
I was the initiator of the whole project and my responsibilities include doing research on calculation methods, designing the presentation and organising the event in a convenient time for the students.

Unilever Fuckup Nights

Problem
If you ever worked at a bigger company you will have come across the phrases „be proud to fail”, „just do a trial and error”, „fail quickly”. However many times these are just buzzwords, nothing else. Isn’t it annoying?

Solution
At a meeting I suggested that we should talk about our failures specifically to encourage real test and learn experiments. Two teammates loved the idea and we discovered that there is already a group dedicated to share such stories in the UK called Fuckup nights.
We researched there concept and customised to our needs and wants and created Unilever Fuckup Nights.

Results
We have held 3 Fuckup nights with over 160 people joining, this being the most popular event of the company.

My role
I was the person to bring the idea to the table, I did research on how to hold such event, I created the visual concept (logo, presentation template, social media communication, etc.).
